Anawiscum McDonald

The Hudson's Bay Company Archives has put biographical sheets for some of their employees online.  One for Anawiscum McDonald can be found at:

According to the Fort Langley Journals Anawiscum was a York Factory Indian.  He retired to the Cowlitz Valley in what is now Washington state.

The Catholic Church records of the Pacific Northwest: Vancouver, Volumes I and II, and Stellamaris Mission says: 

On 3 September 1841 Alexandre, aged 18 months, natural child of Anawiskom McDonald and of an "Indian woman" was baptized by Modest Demers.  Godfather: Ovid Allard.
