| On 1 July 1856 Fermin
Ayotte, son of Joseph and Pelagie Velmure of Batinan near
Trois Rivičres, and a Katzie woman named Suzanne, were
married, after the posting of bans and finding no legal
impediments, Father Lootens performed the benediction of
marriage. The witnesses were Augustin Willing and
Narcisse Falardeau. It should be noted that on the handwritten French original:
