WHAT'S NEW

I have been aware, these last few weeks, that I really really needed to get the newsletter out – but I’ve been distracted.  Fortunately, all but of these distractions have nothing to do with our family (and the one that did has resolved itself in a most positive way).  There have been some that effected friends of mine in British Columbia, which are mostly resolved.

Damn shame is, the One Thing that weights heaviest on my mind is something I can do nothing about, and voicing my true and honest opinion will wait until later.

THIS MONTH'S FEATURE: A re-cap aof the children of II--Robert Pepin and his second wife Marie-Anne Delasse

Last month, we looked at Marie-Agnes and her husband Pierre PLOUF.

Marie-Agnes, baptized 13 July 1730, is listed in the Tanguay as the 7th child of Robert PEPIN and second wife Marie-Anne DELASSE.

Robert PEPIN, son of Robert PEPIN and Marie Crete, baptized in 1677, married, on 15 September 1715, in Montréal

Marie-Anne DELASSE, eldest child of Jean-Pierre DELASSE dit Lafleur and Jeanne CHABAUDIER dit Lépine

It was Robert’s second marriage and Marie-Anne’s first.  Robert’s first was to Elisabeth ROYER.  Marie-Anne would become the second wife of Jean DANY, son of Nicolas DANY dit Tourangeau and Marie-Anne FORTIER, on 21 Feb 1757 at Ste-Geneviève, Montréal (Jean DANY’s first wife was Marie-Angélique COUILLARD

Together Robert PEPIN (Robert I) and Marie Anne DELASSE had 7 children.

1.      Louis PEPIN, baptized 5 April 1716

2.      Joseph PEPIN, baptized 5 May 1717 at St-François, I.J.; married 25 April 1746 Marie-Louise FRENCHE dit Laframboise at Pointe-Claire

3.      Suzanne PEPIN, baptized 1719; married 15 Jan 1748 François GODFROY; married 10 September 1764 Pierre JAVRAY at Ste-Anne-de-Détroit; buried 6 Feb 1793

4.      Marie PEPIN, baptized 1723; married 18 November 1743 Quentin MAUROIS dit St. Quentin at Montréal

5.      Thérèse PEPIN married 6 November 1752 Etienne BOILEAU at St. Geneviève, Montréal

6.      Jean PEPIN, buried 13 August 1729

7.      Marie-Agnes PEPIN, baptized 13 July 1730; married 13 July 1750 Pierre PLOUF at Ste-Geneviève, M.

If you can add/subtract/change any of this, send it on via email.

RAMBLINGS FROM THE EDITOR

One of my pet peeves is pushy people.

I don’t push well.  One fellow here has discovered exactly how well I DON’T push; needless to say, the business venture I was introduced to will not only sit on the back burner for awhile, I may well wrap in tin foil and stuff it in the back of the freezer.  Mind you, the horse’s hind end who did the pushing is not the fellow who introduced me to this business venture; David, in fact, was most understanding about me stepping back.  It was the guy who introduced David to this business venture and it took me almost an hour to explain to him what took not quite 55 seconds to explain to David.

Another of my pet peeves are bullies.  Take the snot-nosed brat in the big white building in Washington DC – please.  A good place to start would be the wood shed.

I do not feel comfortable voicing my true opinion of what’s going on in the world right now, mostly because such commentary could be construed as conduct unbecoming an American and being where I am, could make things difficult at best.

Was talking with a friend the other day and conversation turned to what came to pass yesterday.  She said she’d been speaking with someone who enthusiastically supported such action, who sited that the Bible Itself supported marching into the midst of Evil and destroying it utterly.  It took a couple days for the chill in the pit of my stomach to warm up enough to take food again.

The Chill is still there because weapons and warfare have changed considerably since Biblical times.  The Chill is still there because it is no longer a matter of the combatants gathering to throw stones and swat at each other with swords.  The Chill is still there because I am terrified, right down to the very core of my soul.

Pray with me, Family.  Send up your prayers in accordance to your personal beliefs.  Pray for those who must go.  Pray for those who have no choice in this – pray for those who will die and not know why.

       Pray for World Peace.
