epin Pictures |
Personally, I think it's a real shame the camera wasn't invented sooner.
Every time I look at this page, I get more curious about what our pre-camera Pepins looked like. Is Robert's face in among the ones shown below? What about Marie Crête's? Then there are the other two North American Pepin lines, descendants of Guillaume Pépin and Antoine Pépin dit Lachance. Because the three lines intermarried --frequently-- some of us descend from all three men. Is Guillaume's or Antoine's faces among those below?
Separate family lines are grouped together with their lines of descent. If you have a Pépin ancestor, chances are you're related to someone on this page. Some of those pictures below are alive, some are not.
Should you see something that needs correcting, please let me know. and tell me where your information was found; I still have some really determined genealogical brick walls and am always looking for new places to research.
If you've emailed a correction and you see it has not yet been attended to, tell me again.
If you aren't on dial-up and find this commentary tedious, it's here to give folk on slower connections something to do while the pictures, below, load.
If you are on dial-up, my sincerest apologies for the length of the load time but --then again-- there are a lot of pictures here, some I just didn't have the heart to make smaller. The load time, at 56Kbps, is 2 minutes and 17 seconds.
Eventually, I'd like to have a page for each line from the earliest existing photographs. Until then, things will shift around on this page as I receive more pictures.
My family line is at the very bottom of this page, starting with VII--Simon (aka Seymour) and ending with XI--Jake.
If you send me pics for this page, please...
• get permission from anybody who's still alive; if you send a picture, I shall presume the appropriate permissions have been given • send the biggest picture your email/computer can handle. My preference is between 300 and 600 dpi (yes, even though the best screen resolution one can see on a web site is 72dpi, the higher resolution lets me get the best out of the pic) • the picture should be of a Pepin, Pepin descendant, or Pepin spousal unit • include names, as well as dates and places--if you know them. To send me digital copies of your *PÉPIN* Family pictures, click >here<.
So . . . what do we all look like?
The wedding of Gustave Pepin.
If you know who was there, let me know.
I knew when I got it. But its origins, including who sent it to me, have become lost in my file cabinet.

We're just not sure who Joshua descends from, Guillaume, Antoine, or Robert, but we'd certainly like to know. If you know, please consider sharing. |
