STUCKEY QUERIES

is a few years old, I e-mailed Renee to see if she wanted her query to
remain on this page. She said yes, because "Ya
never know what new info might be found." Date: 03-16-97 My Stuckeys are from Switzerland. John (Hans Stockie) Stukey born 1710 in Canton Bern, Switzerland married Catherine Egner born 1714. Unsure where Catherine was born. They lived in Lancaster County PA. After he died his son John Stuckey Jr. moved to Fairfield County Ohio in 1801. John Jr. married Salome Zimmerman in 1764 Elizabeth Township, Lancaster County PA. All twelve of their children were born in PA, including my ggggrandfather Christian Stuckey. Christian Stuckey moved his family to Allen County Ohio in 1831. (His children were born in Fairfield County, Ohio. None of your Stuckey matched to mine at this time, but I do know that some of Hans Stockie family migrated to other countries and England could have been one of them. When they migrated it was during some rough times circa 1700's. Lets keep in touch, who knows there may yet be a connection. |
